How do I book an appointment?
To request an appointment with Alexx, you can submit under the button "Booking Form"
at the top of the page.
Due to the volume of requests, not all projects can be selected.
Alexx chooses based on relevance to tattoo style, interest in subject matter,
and personal ability.
What form of payment is accepted?
Cash, credit/debit, or Venmo are the accepted forms of payment.
Credit/debit is subject to a 2.6% processing fee.

How do I leave a deposit?
As of February 2022, all deposits required going forward will be $100 when booking with Alexx. Deposits are nonrefundable but can be transferred to a rescheduled appointment if more than 48 hours notice is given. Your deposit will be deducted from the final total of your tattoo. If you have multiple appointments scheduled, it will be deducted from your final appointment.
Deposits are accepted through Venmo, if you do not have Venmo please let Alexx know and an invoice will be made which can be paid electronically with a debit or credit card.
Do you do consultations?
My booking form covers most of the information I need to book an appointment. If I need extra info I prefer to do email consultations for most projects. However, sometimes I will request an in-person consult for larger projects, coverups or ideas needing more clarification.

Do you do cover ups or reworks?
At this time, Alexx is not taking on cover up projects or reworks of existing tattoos done by other artists.
How much is it going to cost?
The cost of a tattoo is dependent on the size, details, and whether the piece is black and gray or colored. If the design is smaller, then the less amount of detail can be included. If the design is larger, then more detail can be added. More detail, in turn, will cost more. Our shop minimum is $100.

What is the best time of year to get a tattoo?
The best time of year to get tattooed varies for each person depending and what time of year they spend the most time outside. If you enjoy going to the beach and sunbathing, then the summer is not a good time to get tattooed because fresh tattoos need to be out of direct sunlight and water for two weeks until they are fully healed. The fall or spring is a better time to get tattooed for a summer person. If you’re someone that goes skiing or snowboarding in the winter and doesn’t spend much time out in the summer, then the spring, summer, or fall is a good time.
Additionally, a healed tattooed should be covered in a strong SPF whenever exposed to direct sunlight to keep the color and sharpness of the piece for as long as possible.

Is it OK to get a tattoo if I’m sick?
It is not recommended to get tattooed when you are sick because your immune system is weakened which affects the healing of the tattoo. Moreover, you are putting the Artist, their family, and anyone else present for your tattoo at risk of also getting sick.
If you are sick, please reach out to your artist to reschedule as soon as possible.
Where can I find pictures of tattoos?
Good places to find reference images for your tattoo design are Google, Pinterest, and real life references. It all depends on what you’re looking to have done. A loose idea of what you want with a few reference photos of the style you like is always preferred because you are giving the artist the ability to design what they think would work best for the size, location, and details of the piece.

Is tanning OK when you have tattoos?
I do not recommend exposing your healed tattoo to any UV rays without SPF protection, so if you do go tanning, please be sure to apply a high SPF over the healed tattoo. Fresh tattoos cannot be exposed to tanning while they are in the healing process.
You do not need to shave the area that is getting tattooed before your appointment because the artist has to shave the area anyway. Additionally, you cannot shave over the tattoo until it is fully healed as it can snag any loose pieces of the tattoo in the razor and damage your skin.
